Shen Yun to Embark on Seventh World Tour
Shen Yun Performing Arts is set to embark this month on its all-new 2013 world tour. The season will see over 300 performances, including in some new destinations.
Shen Yun's dancers, musicians, singers, and technical crew will spend five months on the road—united by the mission of reviving 5,000 years of civilization and its treasured virtues. Inspired by ancient wisdom and traditions, Shen Yun will travel to around 100 cities in North and South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
This marks Shen Yun’s seventh tour and features, as every season, an all-new production. In addition, Shen Yun’s East-West orchestra boasts new conductors and orchestra members.
As the curtain rises, audiences will be transported into the land of the divine, with stories and legends dusted off from the annals of history. Dazzling costumes and dynamic animated backdrops seamlessly intertwine with the brand new dances and orchestral compositions to bring to life the cultural essence of ancient China.
This year, Shen Yun explores the rich tapestry of Chinese culture with new ethnic dances, never-before-seen mini-dramas that reflect ancient values with themes of wisdom and loyalty, not without a few laughs, of course.
Unlike previous years, the 2013 tour kicks-off in Buenos Aires (Dec. 13-21). Audiences in Mexico will be in for a new treat as Shen Yun is poised to visit Mexico City for the first time later in tour.
In Europe, Shen Yun returns to major cities like Paris (Apr. 12-13), Vienna (Mar. 1-2), London (Mar. 5-9), Berlin (Mar. 22-24), and Stockholm (Apr. 8-9).
In North America, Shen Yun will undertake an extensive tour of over 60 cities, including some first-time sojourns in cities like Albuquerque (Mar. 5-6) and Quebec (Jan. 8).
Shen Yun will be returning to many of the same prestigious venues, such as Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center (Jan. 29-Feb 3) and New York’s Lincoln Center (Apr. 20-28).
In the East, Shen Yun will reunite with fans in an extended stay in Taiwan, featuring eight cities in over one month of shows. The Asia-Pacific tour also includes Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea.
As they pack their bags, Shen Yun’s artists look forward to seeing you soon!
